ATHI series of Sand Blast Room can apply to clean the large structures and box castings such as the surface and the cavity, relying on compressed air as a power source. The shot is accelerated by the blasting potto spray on the surface of the workpiece to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
ATHI Sand Blast Room introduction:
Our Sand Blast Room consists of a shot-peening chamber, shot-peening device, Screw Conveyor, elevator, separator, Shot distributing system, flat car system, flat car guide and support, lighting system, the bottom funnel, grid plate, dust-removing system, electric control system and so on.

1. Sand Blast Room Doors:
The service door of the sand blast room is built-in welded profiles and has closing-in steel plates coated with abrasion-resistant rubber. The exclusive sealing system prevents the loss of abrasive materials.
The ATHI sand blast room also supplies different doors (such as a tunnel-type room) optionally. Sensors connected to the doors automatically interrupt the blasting operation when one of them is opened to keep safety.

2. Luminaries:
Each construction and positioning of an LED lamp enable maximum utilization of the luminosity. The fastening system allows easy removal for maintenance.


3. Working Chambers:
Built-in colour steel tile, the chambers of the sand blast room are modulated to satisfy any dimension in height, width and length. The inside of the sand blast room (except on the ceiling) has a rubber coating to protect the blast room against abrasion and help the acoustic insulation.

4. Horizontal Transportation of Abrasive Material:
This system combines the drive of scraper carts that conduct the abrasive material to the centre of the working chamber, where a screw conveyor collects it (in some cases by a belt conveyor), which performs the abrasive material up to the foot of the bucket elevator (abrasive materials purifier). On the whole floor surface, a grid is covered with a perforated plate, which retains more significant impurities or even small parts that may drop accidentally on the floor. This system of ATHI sand blast room requires a much smaller installed power than the other systems because of friction coefficient (wear) is smaller

5. Control panel:
The control panel of the sand blast room is mounted on a shielded cabinet for thermal protection and interlocking for the motors. The panel is supplied with a PLC for the automatic control of the equipment. It meets the most important international standards, including the 60204-1 of the EEC.
6. Blasting machine:
The blasting parts have a pressure vessel built following the EU standard, which is hydrostatically tested to operate at a pressure of 8 Bar (116PSI), with an outlet for one or more operators, remote pneumatic command and a complete kit for the protection of the operator(s), and an air filter that is appropriate for human breathing. The machine also has a high-efficiency pneumatic system and high-performance nozzle(s). It can be equipped with a level sensor for automatic feeding of abrasive material optionally.
7. Reclaim Systems and Dust Collection:
The bucket elevator of the sand blast room receives the abrasive in its hopper and lifts it to the purifier. The elevator features buckets in nodular cast iron that are highly resistant to abrasion and is driven by one gear motor. Our sand blast room can also provide a revolving screen for abrasive materials.


The combination of deflectors for air intake/outlet ensures excellent operational visibility and eliminates the waste of abrasive material. Our dust collectors of the sand blast room supply cartridge filters with elements in Viledon(r) to ensure a low volume of residual dust (approximately 2mg/m3) and improve a considerably useful life (about 15,000 h of work). The cleaning of the filter system is done automatically through an electronically controlled pulse-jet system. ATHI also offer other items, such as supplying the equipment with a noise damper/rear HEPA type filter.
