It is a physical molding method that uses plastic film to seal the sandbox. It relies on the vacuum pump to extract the air inside the mold and results in a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the casting mold to compact the dry sand to form the required cavity.
The whole casting production line is divided into sand processing and molding units. Apart from the addition of a vacuum pump and a particular sandbox, the other equipment of the V-processing molding is relatively simple. The client can omit the sand mixer and some auxiliary equipment. The investment cost is low, and it is convenient for equipment maintenance. Castings have high dimensional accuracy, precise contours, and a smooth surface.
